A Letter to You
Dear Student,
I want to speak to you honestly, because I know exactly how heavy this all can feel. IGCSEs have a way of making you think you’re never doing enough—that you need to know everything all at once, that if you fall behind even a little, you’re failing.
I remember those late nights with my books open, eyes sore from rereading the same topics over and over, hoping they'd finally make sense. I remember how the pressure built up in my chest, how it felt like everyone else had it together while I was drowning in notes and doubt.
What no one tells you is that this journey can be incredibly lonely. It can make you think you have to figure everything out by yourself. And that’s exactly how I felt. Especially in subjects like Sociology—where resources were so hard to find, I had to make my own just to keep up.
That’s why I built IGCSE Journey.
I wanted to create the kind of help I so badly needed back then. A place where you don’t have to feel lost. Where you can find clear notes, real tips, and gentle reminders that it’s okay not to know everything right away.
You’re not weak for needing help. You’re not behind just because you don’t get it the first time. And you’re not alone in feeling overwhelmed or scared.
You deserve to be supported. You deserve to learn in a way that makes sense. And you deserve to know you’re more than just a grade on a page.
So take your time. Go at your own pace. Be kind to yourself on the days when it feels impossible. And remember: you can do this.
I’m rooting for you, even when you think no one is.

Read This When You’re Tired / For the Days You Feel Overwhelmed
If you’re here right now, maybe you’re feeling worn out. Maybe you’re staring at your notes thinking there’s too much to do and not enough time. Maybe you’re questioning if you’re even capable of getting through all of this.
I get it.
IGCSEs can be so incredibly overwhelming. There are so many subjects demanding your attention, so many expectations from teachers, parents, and even yourself. Sciences felt especially hard for me—some topics just wouldn’t click no matter how many hours I poured into them. I remember the frustration of feeling stuck, the fear of falling behind, and the exhaustion that made even simple things feel impossible.
It’s okay to feel that way. It doesn’t mean you’re lazy. It doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human, and you’re trying your best in a system that asks so much of you.
When I was doing my own exams, I often felt completely alone. I had to create my own resources just to understand certain topics—especially in Sociology, where nothing seemed available. That experience is why I made IGCSE Journey.
I didn’t want anyone else to have to feel that same panic and loneliness. I wanted to build something that says: “You don’t have to do this alone.”
So if you’re reading this and you’re tired—rest. If you’re reading this and you’re overwhelmed—breathe. You don’t have to do it all today. You don’t have to do it all perfectly.
One topic. One question. One small step at a time.
You’re capable. You’re worthy of support. And you’ve got this.

And Finally, From One Student to Another
From One Student to Another,
I know what it’s like to sit at your desk feeling completely lost, staring at notes that won’t make sense no matter how many times you read them. I know the fear of watching the days slip by while the syllabus feels endless. I know what it’s like to lie awake at night, running through formulas, definitions, and concepts in your head because you’re terrified you’ll forget them.
The whole experience was very tough for me. There were days I felt like no one could help me explain what I didn’t understand, no matter how hard I tried to ask. I felt embarrassed to say I was confused. I felt like maybe the system wasn't for me. I felt worthless when I got any bad grades. But here I am on the other end of it, in the university I always hoped for and the major I always dreamt of.
Whoever is reading this, I know how it feels. Trust me, I've been through it. I know how hard it is. But I need you to believe me when I tell you there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
That’s why I created this site. I created it for you.
This space is here for you. For your late-night revisions. For your moments of confusion. For the times you need someone to just say, “It’s okay. You’ll figure it out.” This is your space.
We may be in different places in the world, but I promise you this: you don’t have to do it all alone. Reach out to a friend, a teacher, or anyone you feel comfortable with. And remember, I’m here to help however I can.
You’re not alone. And you can do this.
